AI art hasn't been around since the 1950s lmao. AI art just popped up with the recent release of GAN - loosely was around in 2014.

If you want to go back to the 1970s - there was a program called AARON, made by Cohen - that loosely did what could be called "art".

When people are mad about A.I. art today - they are referring to the Text to Image generators that took off in 2021 and 2022.
