It's a jump-and-run in which our protagonist Madeline is depressed and has the goal to climb Celeste Mountain in order to prove to herself that she can do it. On her way, she meets some people and also her reflexion the mirror (Badeline) who wants to stop her from reaching the summit. It's a game about mental health, and it's praised for its accuracy. It's seriously had me sob so many times. And Madeline is trans as we find out later. But I'm not at that point yet, I haven't finished yet. (several trans people were involved in the making of the game)
Every level has multiple screens, and when you die, you just start the screen anew immediately.
