I bet he's thinking about other women; If someone wins a trophy for not winning a trophy, they automatically lose the trophy they just received, but due to now having lost said trophy, they would have to receive it once more, either creating a paradox of an infinitely going on game of giving the trophy and taking it forever, which would not only be quite cruel to that person, but would also exhaust many people, or the people within this story have had this experience from before and so have learned to just give the trophy to the receiving party, even though it is technically inaccurate.
