GOOB — The “Medieval Therapist” of Gardenview APPEARANCE
Goob is a soft, rounded, slightly lumpy toon creature—
Body Shape: Short and pudgy, always slightly hunched forward
Eyes: Big round eyes with tiny pupils; always look a little lost
Hands: Three stubby fingers ideal for grabbing and holding
Arms: Goob has long arms that can stretch to grab things or people for hugs.
Movement: Walks like he’s trying not to fall over
Smell: Crayons and slightly damp paper (Scraps says that’s normal for him)
OUTFIT
Goob’s clothing is medieval therapy chic (in his mind).
Simple brown tunic tied with a rope belt
Crumpled, too-big medieval cloak that drags on the ground
A tiny crooked gold circlet, because he thinks all important listeners should wear crowns
Patch-covered satchel filled with:
crayons
stickers
scrolls
snacks
one rock he thinks is magic
A wooden “therapist badge” Scraps made for him.
He wears it proudly even though the text is spelled wrong:
“GOOB – OFFISHUL LISSENER”; Goob sets up a little booth where he helps toons with their emotional troubles by:
giving wildly unhelpful advice
offering crayon drawings
and nodding very seriously
Goob listens very seriously to every problem.
His solutions are usually… questionable:
“You’re stressed? Maybe… eat a sandwich?”
“Your house is haunted? Just tell the ghosts you’re busy.”
“Feeling sad? Go roll in the grass.”
“Someone made you mad? Hiss at them! That's what my sister does.”
“Heartbroken? Glue your heart back together. Scraps let me borrow glue once.”
Goob tries really, truly hard to be helpful… even if he’s not the sharpest crayon in the box.
Because he’s Scraps’ younger brother, the other Toons assume he must be wise or responsible like her… and he absolutely is not—but he wants to be, and that’s what counts. And despite this, the Toons of Gardenview love him because:
he’s very sweet
he genuinely cares
he cheerfully writes everything down with a crayon
he gives out “emotional support stickers” he draws himself; Role in Gardenview: “Medieval Therapist”
Gardenview doesn’t really need a therapist, but Goob proudly calls himself one anyway—
The “Royal Listener of Gardenview.”
He sets up a tiny medieval-style booth (like a mix between a counselor stand and a fortune-telling tent), complete with:
a crooked wooden sign that says “TALK TO GOOB – 2 COINS”
a wobbly chair for him
an even wobblier chair for his “patients”
scrolls of advice that are mostly doodles
How He Works; Abilities
Hug time: stretches his arms to grab another toon to pull them to him and give them a hug also reduces toons fear.
Therapy visit: Goob gives another toon a short therapy session and reduces that toon's fear.
His Relationship With Scraps
Even though they don’t look alike:
He looks nothing like her, but claims,
“We match on the inside!”
Scraps guides him, corrects his advice, and protects him from his own messes.
Scraps is the older, wiser, papercraft cat
Goob is the younger, squishier, confused medieval helper
Scraps is SUPER protective of him, especially because he gets himself into strange situations like:
trying to cure sadness by giving someone a bucket of snails
diagnosing someone with “too much soup energy”
accidentally declaring someone “emotionally haunted”
She fixes his messes quietly in the background, but still encourages him.
