If you had to put solar panels anywhere on the United States, you would probably have them on deserts that reach record temperatures, aka California

Yet they don't work at night, less effective cloud cover, storing power in batteries is very ineffective, they can not provide a needed base load as nuclear, and coal can 24/7 nor peak power when gas turbines need to be turned up when hot or cold so solar in the desert costs California 2.5 times more than red state power, thus another reasons companies and citizens that flee go to Tennessee, such as In and Out Burger headquarters, The CEO even said so, there is just 1 In and out burger in Tennessee, but the headquarters there and no ones being built.
