Now, the lore: (WARNING: TEXT WALL)
Long ago, Meowstic from Kalos were brought to a distant region to help manage dangerous supernatural disturbances. Their powerful psychic senses allowed them to detect unstable energy and calm aggressive Pokémon.
However, the new region contained wild spiritual energy and powerful territorial Pokémon, forcing Meowstic populations to adapt in different ways depending on their roles in the ecosystem.
Over generations, their psychic power evolved into two specialized combat styles.
Male Meowstic began acting as protectors of settlements and mountain shrines. They trained their bodies to channel psychic power into physical combat.
Instead of relying purely on mental force, their psychic energy reinforces their muscles and reflexes, allowing them to strike with incredible precision.
Female Meowstic instead adapted to the region’s mystical energy currents.
Their psychic powers became more empathetic and mystical, allowing them to sense emotions, calm aggressive Pokémon, and communicate with spiritual forces in the land.
Over time this connection caused their abilities to resemble Fairy-type magic.
Now, why the forms split?
The environment pushed the species into two complementary roles:
Instead of evolving into separate species, their sexual dimorphism intensified, resulting in different secondary typings.
