torment*
But still based. Superior to the weak corrupt gods who are bribed and allow evil to go unpunished.

Your "understanding" is flawed at best. If you pursued another romantically that wanted nothing to do with you and ultimately forced them to live with you and never leave, I'm hoping you would find that at least to be creepy. When a human shows God that he/she won't accept a relationship in this life, He will honor their choice. It is your choice He is honoring. It is your choice that separates you from God eternally. It is your choice that lands you in endless torment. The torment or lack thereof is your choice. He offers a better option. If you end up in eternal "torment", find something reflective and point a fiery finger at your reflection not at the One that offered a more pleasant alternative. I pray that God brings to a point that the only direction left to you is "up" towards Him. Only He knows what your ultimate choice will be. If God doesn't bring you low enough to seek Him, eventually your weeping and wailing will overwhelm even your doubts.

I was talking with an atheist once who said he would gladly choose hell over God and then STILL blame Him for sending him there. ???? How shallow of a brain could one have? You send yourself to hell just to spite God and then blame God for sending you there even though He's placing a free ticket to heaven in your hand?
It's not a matter of intellect it's a matter of heart. If someone hates God in life and rejects Him at death, they will NEVER be happy in Heaven which is His full presence.

Absolutely correct. They hate God with an insane, unreasoning rage. I've asked both atheists and agnostics, "if the Bible were absolutely true, would you follow Jesus?" They all said no. Their heart is a broken mess and they are too stubborn and/or filled with pride to give up their supposed independence. We are called to share the good news but sadly too many will reject it. The parable of the sower of seeds aptly applies to the process.

I would most likely follow God maybe to save myself from eternal pain but I don’t know if I could love god.

Like I’d have ALOT of questions like ALOT like why do good people get punished just for not following him. And for ETERNITY? REALLY? That long forever people will burn and scream all for not following you but they were a good person…. Like that sounds like an evil god

I would choose God over Hell any day. But God created Hell and sends good people there.

I don't see any place in scripture where God sends good people to hell.
Scripture says two things about "good people"; 1) "There is none that does good. No, not one." Psalm 14:3, and "No one is Good but God alone" Mark 10:18.

If I can ask, what do you mean by "good". Not even I would say that I am good according to God's standards.

I just don't see it. I don't see why we should let evil people off the hook to go free and instead place the blame on God when He didn't do anything wrong. He created the cosmos, He gave life to infinitely complex creatures on the earth, including human beings. On top of it, He respected human beings freedom of choice by NOT forcing them to accept Him. I don't see why God should be held accountable for crimes He didn't commit and why we should let criminals who are actually guilty go free.

I don't see God doing any of the things you listed off. What you just listed was a bunch of crimes that humans commit against each other. But for some reason you point the finger at God and hold Him responsible because He's the one who made us. That actually doesn't seem fait to a God who's hands are clean in all of this.

The God I worship and serve created a natural world with infinite complexity and the human beings who have a will that's free to choose it's creator or reject it. And then, after rejecting Him, came down to this earth in human form as Jesus of Nazareth, and paid for all of humanities wrongdoings and violations on the cross and promised to renew and restore creation back to its perfection. That's the God I have relationship with.

So do people who do not believe in God go to heaven or hell?

Why do you ask that? Is there someone in your life you are worried about?

No I’m a not worried just curious you know? How could this God be so loving and caring and good and amazing but have this place labeled Hell where one person who might’ve donated and love thy neighbor just didn’t believe in god has to be burned or tortured or tormented for ETERNITY!

Thats one of the reasons I don’t believe God is all good or loving. Pain is suffering and suffering isn’t good but yet people need to suffer for all time it’s incomprehensible on how long that amount of time is

God allows evil to exist so that he can be glorified in defeating it. The reason why we suffer and feel pain is so to shape our character because no real growth happens when we are comfortable.

When has God again asked to been glorified or worshipped in defeating evil which HE created… like he’s just making us worship him at this point

So God allows cancer so we can grow? Uhh 😬 tell that to someone who’s has a child die at birth cause of a disease

God brings good out of evil. You meant it for evil but god meant it for good. The only reason god allows evil to exist is so that he can be glorified in defeating it. Defeating evil glorifies him more than if evil just never existed. God isn’t sitting in heaven just waiting in anger wishing to send people to hell, god loves all people and wants them to seek him, he wants them in heaven with him.

It's not that I believe God "wants" to be glorified or worshipped. I don't see any evidence in scripture that says He needs it. It's that I believe God is naturally deserving of praise and worship because of who He is and what He's done to earn it.
I don't see why human beings can praise a delicious meal, or a creative painting, or a touching film but not be willing to praise the God who created the cosmos. It seems logical and natural a thing to do.

I’m fully with you on this praising meals and art but it comes with a cost. I don’t wanna be in heaven knowing my mother could suffering eternal damnation when the worst thing she did that went against god was not believe in him
