As a game dev i love digital piracy, if you cant afford a game you should be able to download it for free, culture should be easy to access; it shouldnt be your first go-to unless you cant dump a ROM but still own it, afford the game, etc. hobby devs especially need to make money but its ok to pirate nintendo games | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I only pirate games that you can't buy anymore. It's not even piracy at that point, it would literally be the same thing as buying it from Ebay. The company that made the game isn't getting money either way.
