What's the motive ? Washington State passed a law that allows government agencies to conceal runaway children from their parents if those children claim they are seeking so-called “gender-affirming treatment.”; The state can withhold the child’s location. The state can cut parents out of their own child’s life and call it “care.”; Is this Kidnapping ? The state can move a confused minor toward chemical castration, irreversible sterilization, and surgical mutilation of healthy organs, without a mother or father ever giving consent. And parents may never even know. WHEN THESE FAMILIES WENT TO COURT TO STOP THIS BEFORE IRREVERSIBLE HARM OCCURS, THE LOWER COURTS REFUSED TO HEAR THEM. THE COURTHOUSE DOORS WERE CLOSED. WE ARE STANDING WITH THESE PARENTS BEFORE THE HIGHEST COURT IN THE LAND. IN OUR BRIEF, WE TOLD THE SUPREME COURT WHAT THE CONSTITUTION ALREADY MAKES CLEAR:; THE FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT OF PARENTS TO DIRECT THE CARE, CUSTODY, AND CONTROL OF THEIR CHILDREN IS AMONG THE OLDEST LIBERTY INTERESTS RECOGNIZED IN AMERICAN LAW.
