Games are so big because they want to monopolize your hard drive so you don’t install or play anything else.

a lot of games intentionally duplicate data to make load times faster for users with HDDs. helldivers 2 recently put out a non bloated version and it got down to less than an 8th of the previous size

I did see that when it happened.
