Also Thomas Sowell or Herman Cain who should've been the first Black President. Herman told a story which every parent should hear; When he was in high school he told his parents he wanted to march with MLK Jr's civil rights movement. His parents flat out told him no and that he was going to graduate high school, enter college, graduate from that then he can do all the marching he wants.
It wasn't that Herman's parents were against the movement. They were against their son not getting a proper education which they knew if he didn't get would put him in the same position they were in. Herman's mother was a maid and his father was a chauffer. They wanted better for their son when he became an adult.
Nowadays we got kids in various grades staging 'walkouts' at the cost of their education and future.
