Bro relax, sinus infections that can kill are extremely rare. While you may not notice it happening, the vast majority of sinus infections resolve with self-care. If you really do think it's severe, then detail your symptoms. Is it a high fever, do you have a stiff neck, et cetera. If this is just the first day of the infection, then of course your mom isn't worried yet, because it hasn't gone on long enough for her to know whether or not it's a genuine problem. It's not ignorance. If it ends up lasting long enough that she gets concerned, she'll take you to the hospital then. I severely doubt that this sinus infection will kill you.

Sinus infections don't usually kill, I've had a couple myself, they suck. But I really hope you'll get through it soon... Just get some rest and you should be find in a couple days.

I'd assume this is only the first day of the infection, so its severity can't actually be told yet. I've known this guy a bit longer than you have, and he can tend to be a bit dramatic at times(no offense intended, Starfall). It hasn't been long enough for his mom to feel like it's an actual issue, as many sinus infections are minor, but if/when it does, she'll take him, I'm sure of it.
