FYI:
-Yet they did get compensated in the UK for their loss of Property value.
-The UK took out a loan to buy the freedom of slaves in 1831, which only recently got paid off in 2015
-Funny how it was the UK that established the vile institution in the 13 Colonies that inherited it.
-Ironic, how the UK was much more CIVILIZED in resolving the issue while respecting property rights,
whereas, 3 decades after this precedent is set, the USA chose a different route to solve the same issue. Some might portend to think this solution was a bit less civilized, to gain the same result.
