America: We are Doomed
We have permitted, nay, we have promoted the repeated teachings that the Man should be in charge in our society. We have permitted--nay even created--a Constitution that gave all power to wealthy, white men, with no rights for women, people of color, or the indigenous.
We have built our society on the myths of the Bible; reinforced those fairy tales in law, and endorsed that ugliness through hundreds of years of oppression.
It literally took centuries for America to get this close to being free.
Today, we watch an evil man and his evil army strip away what has been legally established--our citizens rights in the Amendments to that Constitution--and what so many have worked--and even died--for: to make this country live up to the aspiration that "all men are created equal."
Ending Trump won't fix America. We must rid ourselves of that which teaches our people this hatred: the Bible.
