Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), formerly known as Multiple Personality Disorder, is a complex mental health condition characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality states (alters) that alternately control a person's behavior. Often stemming from severe childhood trauma, it involves significant memory gaps, with individuals losing time or not remembering events.

O you are not stupid don't talk about my friends like that. I'm not too familiar with DID, none of my close friends (from what I know) are but I always ask people more about their identity if I don't understand. No one, for example, transitions the same, so I try to ask them about how they perceive their identity specifically to try to help myself support them!

Was this actually in a way useful? I'm sorry if you asked for help with a schizophrenic friend, I could tell you everything, but ;-;
