I don’t understand the hate behind Cars 2 (it’s part of my childhood along with the first movie)

It's certainly not my favorite Pixar movie, but it's so bat-shit insane for what it is, that I just don't think I can hate it.

Well I know that people claim to hate it because of the body count, as well as them thinking that Mater is the protagonist, when he obviously just has his own side of the story (btw I love him). I watched Schaffrillas hate on this film, and even though he thinks this is the worst Pixar film, the worst Pixar film in my opinion is Toy Story 4 (tied with Elio).

You know what, I kind of agree on Toy Story 4. It's a good movie, but it's painfully clear that it wasn't made with any artistic merit, but rather to squeeze a few million more dollars out of an IP that should have ended with 3. Elio, on the other hand, was mediocre at best. As for Cars 2 having a high body count, let's not forget about The Incredibles.

Yeah, Toy Story 4 got rid of the classic characters I grew up with and replaced them with boring new ones (also, John Wick crying?!). I would love to see Schaffrillas make “Why Toy Story 4 Is a Cinematic Disaster”, along with “Why X-Men: Dark Phoenix is a Cinematic Disaster”, “Why Chicken Little is a Cinematic Disaster”, “Why Thor: Love and Thunder is a Cinematic Disaster”, and “Why Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is a Cinematic Disaster”, as those are also horrible movies. Anyways, Elio wasn’t good, Toy Story 4 was awful, and Elemental is just Twilight if you sucked its charm out. Cars 2 isn’t bad at all, but I really hope Toy Story really ends after 5. I only consider the first three films to be canon, and not 4 or 5. I believe Pixar began to go downhill in 2015 or 2016.
