You mean by letting federal agents defend themselves against armed and increasingly violent TRAINED leftist activists? Those leftists can carry weaponry. It just means that they will then be killed while attacking federal agents. It's called CONSEQUENCES; something that apparently the Political Left's collective has never had any personal experiences with . . . before now.
