Colonialism is long gone. Greenland belongs to Denmark, and in 2026, there are no excuses for taking land that isn't yours.

If Denmark sales to the United States property that they own, then it is not colonialism.

Trump seems very passionate about wanting Greenland. Therefore there are three scenarios:

1: Denmark voluntarily sells Greenland to the US. There’s no issue with that.

2: Denmark refuses to sell Greenland to the US, which Trump accepts without yapping further. Also no issue.

3: The US invades Greenland, or pressures Denmark into selling Greenland involuntarily. And there we have the issue.
