What happened was a tragedy. Alex Pretti should not have carried a gun to a protest. He should not have disrupted federal law enforcement officers while carrying a gun. The protest was organized by the Democratic Socialists of America, whose stated goal is to end capitalism. Democratic Socialists of America is a large, nationwide, well-funded organization.
