It has a single player component but I can tell it was definitely meant to be a multiplayer-only game. It’s purely racing and progressing to get more cars and upgrades with the tiniest crumbs of story to go with it. So while the game is fun, it also feels shallow, like you’re just going through the motions to watch numbers go up.
Burnout Paradise felt the exact same way, it was clearly intended to be played online, and that can have a negative effect on the single player.
I’m not saying the games NEED a story. I’m just saying that NFS 2015 and Payback didn’t feel like this.
