Help me out y'all

So I'm currently experimenting with triggers, specifically the event, count, and gravity trigger. I'm trying to make a thing where the gravity decreases when the player hits the ground five times. I activated "normal landing" on the event trigger, set all the settings on the other triggers, yet it won't work. Why is that?

I might try that

uh maybe try setting it to detect jumping instead
and maybe use an item compare trigger hooked up to the spawn loop

or a sequence trigger
