A lot of prosperity was brought by so many boomers in the first world being born leading to so many things like the apollo program and many technology innovations but then they started having less and less kids themselves and eventually their short-term thinking has now led to economic issues

Also social security in particular has kinda f**ked up the birth rate in america as well since parents used to have more kids because they would provide for them
