To clarify I'm not super red but this doesn't jive with me. If you drive your vehicle at someone it's using your car as a weapon. An officer is aloud to defend himself in a life threatening situations such as nearly being run over. A few months before this the same ICE agent had been dragged by a car over 30ft during an arrest so the man A) knew what the seneriou looked like and B) had trauma that put him on the when the car came at him. Another question I have is why was the mother their I didn't get that.

So, a federal agent is not allowed to defend themselves in a life threatening situation when that agent has placed themselves in that situation.

Specifically, the DHS policy says that agents are to not stand in front of a subject vehicle. If a vehicle attempts to flee, they are not allowed to attempt to stop it. They are not allowed to fire into a vehicle. And they are not allowed to fire into a fleeing vehicle.

He did everything wrong- not one or two things- everything wrong. And from watching his video, it looks deliberate.

I watched the video and she was parked in the middle of the road which is illegal so the officers had the right to arrest/detain. Also from the video he wasn't dead in front of the car he was off to the side because if he was he would have been hit full on. Also the lady clearly knew the officer was in front of her and if she hadn't put the medal to the pedal it the officer would have had time to move. So I still didn't get it. Both parties messed up, the officer should have had a body cam and not shot but the lady should have been there in the middle of the road. She fleed btw
