I wonder how long it would take to complete a game of chess on a board like this.

Those queens would be way ahead of everything else... then it would take a couple hundred turns for the other pieces to catch up

Queens and rooks would be fine, extra work for bishops, insane for knights, and impossible for pawns and kings
