The gist of why libertarians and ancaps desire less government power is that they prefer more voluntary and decentralized means of governance than by one large central government, that is why some ancaps prefer using the term “voluntarism” to describe what they think. Corruption would also be a lot more difficult to deal with in a government as you are putting all of your eggs in one basket and relying on just the one, while in a society with no government that has multiple companies corruption simply means one competitor is out of the game

Oh my god I love slowly educating myself on politics so that I develop educated opinions over time instead of just diving right into whatever ideology best fits my vague awareness of it and I just become educated entirely on biased information

I don’t even like ideologically sorting myself either which is why I take my opinions from like dozens of different ideologies and it’s hard to condense it down into a single few words

All I say with that term is that I DON’T like authoritarianism, there is still so much broadness in the word “libertarian”
