I suggest you look into vasopressin and oxytocin production in relation to long term bonding and the natural defense mechanisms our bodies have to keep us from falling in love with everyone! That is why modern relationships do not work. Women bond through orgasm and they can only bond with 4 men before their chances at a long term successful relationship falls to below 20%. I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm skeptical that any religion that would promise six dozen virgins as a reward in the afterlife actually gives two sh**s about 'falling in love' or 'bonding'.

If all I am seeking is physical sexual gratification, I would want a woman with some experience, and an understanding of male sexual response. I don't think that a blatantly misogynistic religion has a "decent, respectable, upstanding" bone in its collective body.
Having said all that, my point is that their afterlife model is counter-intuitive.

Oh, I do not think they have an understanding as to why their beliefs are right. But also they have not been corrupted by the modern world. That is why they cling to those old world ideas and cling to them. They are right, but do not understand why! Stupid people can be right and still not know why!
