True sarsaparilla isn’t allowed to be made anymore since safrole was banned in 1960.
So these drinks usually have a sassafras ingredient with the safrole removed, or they have artificial flavors. I’ve enjoyed trying different brands.
EARP has a kinda lemony taste to it along with the sarsaparilla flavor. Not quite as good as Johnston Hole or Kansas City sarsaparilla, but it still has that distinct taste underneath it.
