Francis Bellamy the goat!

Francis Bellamy the goat! | THE ORIGINAL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, WRITTEN BY FRANCIS BELLAMY, HAD NO MENTION OF GOD NOR THE UNITED STATES, INSTEAD REFERRING TO THE FLAG AS MY FLAG. THIS CREATES THE FEELING OF INDIVIDUAL PATRIOTISM, THAT IT IS NOT JUST THE FLAG OF OUR NATION BUT THE FLAG OF US. I PROPOSE THAT AMERICANS SHOULD BE TAUGHT THIS VERSION, A VERSION WITHOUT RELIGION, A VERSION ABOUT HOW THE FLAG STANDS FOR US, NOT FOR A GOVERNMENT, NOT FOR A POLITICAL PARTY. A VERSION THAT GOES LIKE THIS:
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO MY FLAG AND THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS, ONE NATION, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL. | image tagged in pledge of allegiance, united states, history, separation of church and state | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Yeah, because the modern pledge talks about god which isn't really good for separation of church and state

Nope, separation of church and state should apply to all religions.

You do realize that our Constitution doesn’t have anything to say about “separation”.
At all.

Correct, the Constitution, more specifically the First Amendment, uses different wording but it means the same thing

No. It only means that the government cannot ESTABLISH a national religion. It gives us Freedom OF Religion, not freedom FROM religion.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion" sounds like you should keep religious symbols out of government such a for instance "God" in the Pledge of Allegiance
