Also there is a privately owned high speed rail company in Florida called Brightline and it's proving to be a lot better than California's poorly planned government high speed rail line that isn't anywhere near completion. Brightline got completed a long time before California's high speed rail, has a lot of ridership and is turning in a large profit. I know why Kim-Jong-Un prefers to ride an armored train rather than a plane because riding in a plane in the air would make him too easy to be gunned down by the air forces on enemy nations and being a notorious human rights violating dictator, he made a lot of enemies. If he were assassinated, his replacement would unfortunately be even worse than him, his sister who is even more of an insane ruthless person.

Trains are great as long as where you live and where you're going is within walking distance of a train station
When you have to start adding parking fees, multiple trains or busses it all quickly becomes moronic

I remember having to go see a store I wanted to rent and my car was broken down -- cost me close to $40 and nearly 3 hours one way for what should have been 25 minutes by car for $2 of gas

The big problem with passenger trains in America is that the tracks are owned by private freight railroad companies that are poorly maintained because it's cheaper for the freight railroads to not properly maintain them for a smoother ride and freight trains don't need a smooth ride and freight trains don't let the passenger trains have the right of way before the freight trains pass.
