And in the last...two years(?) of his life, he suffered from dementia. He couldn't remember his own name or that of family members. It has been recorded that during that time, to everyone that visited him, he greeted each one with. " I don't know who you are and I don't know who I am, but I know I was once a great sinner and I was forgiven by Jesus Christ."
