Day 8 : A bit of a disapointing day

Day 8, 11/13/25
A bit of a disapointing day

I wake up to the sound of the church bells. Its 9 am (best night i had in 10 days).
I go downstairs around 9:45, i know my mom is already on her way to the court.
I see my aunt and my bro taking breakfast. We discuss we laugh, then we play cards the whole morning.
But around 11 am, My Aunt gets a message from my mom :

Aunt : The hearing has been post-poned…

The whole morning after this, at our table, all our faces went dark.
We ate dinner when mom came back and then mom had a brilliant idea :

Mom : Wait, if he is hospitalized right now, maybe we can go to the house pickup more of our stuff.

And so she sends a message to her lawyer so she can try to contact my fathers lawyer so that she can know if my father is still in the hospital.
We go to the temporary house where we forgot to take a bag with us, and on the way we get a message from the lawyer :

Lawyer : I’m a sorry ma’am to inform you i can’t reach your husbands lawyer and so i don’t recommand going to your house.

We were even sadder now.
We didn’t do much today, but what we did is we commanded a wifi box, and so it means i will soon be able to send all this.

Update after i wrote this because unlike all the other chapters, i didnt write this one at the end of the day :

We ate dinner and the beef steak mom cooked was divine, and we called our grandparents and it was awesome (for once) to talk to them.
Then mom said she’d look up the rules for Tarot and we’ve fallen on a 16 years old youtube video of a guy named Maurice, from the french federation of french Tarot games. This guy was talking like he was reading the text that someone was holding behind the cameraman and we kept joking about this guy that borderline looked like he got promised a bottle of Wine if he read the text behind the cameraman.
Then we tried searching the rules and we realised it was too complex so we decided to play Rami all night long.
We had a blast, all starting with this :

Bro : Ohhh i got exactly what you need !!!

Me : What do you mean you got exactly what i need ?

Bro : Well i got what you need.

Me : How can you know what i need if you don’t kno- *Turns around super fast to check if there is a
mirror behind me*

Aunt : *burst of laughter* *wheezes*

We all started laughing to the point where we all were clenched on ourselves, face first in the table for like 2 whole minutes non-stop.
I won’t explain all the jokes we did and all the reasons why we laughed, but we got from Maurice to other french celebreties, to complete non-sense. At some point i had to Usain Bolt my way to the toilet because i was about to piss myself out of laughters. If we had filmed our playing session, me and my bro would have looked like we had a shot of cocaine.
I had a blast.
We had a blast.
Tomorow is a day where our objective is to relax, we’re gonna do some shopping to have a lil fun, and we’re gonna watch a movie.

It’s 23:17 (for all my american folks, its 11:17 pm) as i am writing this, and i don’t feel so bad about the bad news anymore. Goodnight.
