The light at the end of the tunnel

Before going to bed, i shat myself in the restrooms, i felt nauseus, and i f**king prayed to god to not vomit (and im dead serious). I said ‘’pls i dont need to vomit right now, if not for me, for my mother pls she doesnt needs another problem on her mind’’ and guess what i felt better around 1 am, then i fell like a dead body on the bed.
Today i woke up around 5 am (what a night)

Today’s objectives was to build the table we bought with its chairs and do the last cleaning duties, and the main objective was putting the underbeds (idk how its called) in our respective bedrooms.

The delivery truck arrives as i finish building the table.
They park infront of the wrong house (great start).
Then the main guy start scouting the house and he goes like ‘’well thats gonna be tight’’ (great news).
When they take the underbed, they move in the stairs and… it gets stuck !!! (EVEN BETTER NEWS).
So our last resort is the balcony. Thanks to the gods (from the first ones to the lastly created ones) that we had a balcony because it worked.
Then they try moving my underbed through the second floor stairs… it gets stuck (AMAZING NEWS).
So we decide to put just a big towell under my matress till we get a refund so we can get a kit we can build on the spot.

After this we go back to the temporary house and on the road my mom gets a text message that says :
The procureur said the file of protection wasnt necessary.

So what just happened is that the police judge said that the file of protection wasnt necessary, but they did not have the documents, the statements and all the stuff that incriminates my father. So yea if he had everything, he would have said it was necessary.
Then we learn my father got a lawyer (i mean he’s in his right but FU-).
So my mom kinda got it heavy all of a sudden.
She gets a phonecall with her lawyer about some other incriminating stuff like his way of manipulating and all, then at the end of the phonecall she tears up (friendly reminder that the hearing is tomorow).
We all try to cheer her up.
Then we eat and we go back to the temporary house to drop off some trash to the trash drop off zone (yea we got one of these in our village, we got everything).

Then we go do some HEAVY shopping (138€ worth of food) and on the way back to the exit we met one of the guys we play with in the music school. He was like :

Him : Oh hello there !

Me and bro : Hello !!! Didnt recognize you.

Him : What are yall up to ? We dont see yall anymore.

Mom : Oh don’t worry about that they’ll be back soon.

Me : its complicated…

Then we filled the car up to the brim in terms of fuel and we leaved.

Arrived at home i start unpacking some of my stuff, i am tired as f**k. Mom prepares dinner and we listen to some music with the JBL speaker our Aunt offered us. I decide to make my mom listen to Scar Tissue by RHCP since what this song is about is kinda like our situation, a new start after being wrecked.
We play some Rami after this.
But my mom gets a phonecall from the lawyer saying :

Lawyer : Apparrantly your husband is hospitalized right now for great depression.

My mom clearly thinks its another one of its tricks because he got caught off guard and he wasnt ready, and also because he plays the victim. And so my mom tells it to the lawyer :

Lawyer : His lawyer requested a post-pone.

My mom says that no matter if its post poned or not she will go tomorow because she fears he plays his game too well again.
And at this point she really cracks.
She cries, she stresses out about tomorow, she fear we aint gonna get this file of protection.
And then my Aunt tries to cheer her up but she cant manage to do it so she cries too.
And so my bro and i go and try to cheer them up.
My mom is in tears, she genuinly is scared for her life, our life.
So i put my hand on her shoulder and tell her everything i can say to cheer her up :

Me : Mother, everything is gonna be alright. There is no reason for us to loose this fight.
You’re the bravest person i’ve ever known, you’ve fought for us more than once, and won everytime, there is no reason we loose this fight.
I know its hard for you because you’re the soldier going into the frontline tomorow, you’re the one going there, its normal to fear, but don’t worry everything is gonna be fine.

Mom : B-but your father has been controlling everything every single day for 20 years and it always has been about him, him this, him that, and when its about us, its him that tries to take control again.

Me : Listen, he’s gonna loose it, because we have something that he doesn’t have : family. We have friends, we got peoples that would sacrifice themselves for us, and he got nothing but his dirty money, his house and his cats.

My bro : And the sucker (nickname of one of our kitties that sucks you finger if you pet him too much)

*everyone laughes*

Me : All this to say that everything is gonna be alright, we’ve came a long way and look, in less than 10 days we got a judge that is okay to hear you out. Some peoples wait months, some years, we got angels on our side, there is no reason we loose this fight. We’re just going through the storm right now, but remember after rain, there is sun. And when you look back to all the shit you lived through, you see a rainbow. So never give up, cause everything is gonna be fine and no matter what happens, i’m proud to be your son.

Mom : Thanks…

I had to simplify my speech because it was normally way longer and maybe more inspirational, but my mom felt better after this. She fears, but inside of me, i feel so calm. I know everything is gonna be fine for us, i’m not even stressed about this, i know everything is gonna go on our side.

As i am writing this, its midnight, my mom is waking up tomorow around 9:30 am i think, and i send her courage and strenght.
Tomorow, we’ll be free.
