Also the only reason why passenger trains in America suck at hauling people is because the tracks are owned by private freight railroad companies that don't bother to properly maintain the tracks to make it adequate for passenger trains and don't give passenger trains the right of way before the freight trains.

Only because idiots don't bother obey basic railroad safety, you know how often "Florida man" is a headline in the news. One man tried to cross the tracks where there wasn't any crossing gates and people in their cars tried to drive across the grade crossing while the gates were lowering. You can't blame that on the trains, trains don't drive off the tracks and run over people, if you get hit by a train, it's your fault for ignoring basic railroad safety. And besides lots of accidents happen with cars, does that mean cars should be banned? No, people just need to be more careful driving.

Cars also aren't protected but the constitution so by that logic they should be banned because they also cause deaths. Alcohol also isn't protected by the constitution and causes deaths when consumed in large unhealthy amounts, should that be banned too?

Please tell me how a person choosing to take a train is somehow affecting your ability to drive in your car? Also in Europe, people are also able to go to any country they want, be it by car or train without even having to go through border customs.

And for all intents and purposes, European countries are basically American states. I don't think there are many people in a city bothering Canada who are inconvenienced by having to stay on the American side. Especially if the Canadian stores don't take US currency.

People in border towns are badly inconvenienced for not being allowed to see their neighbor across the street. I supported Trump making the U.S. and Canada a schengen area so people in border towns can move freely but unfortunately he seems to have soured relationships between the nations.
