Thank you for saying that pills are not the answer.
I believe spending time outside is beneficial. Unfortunately, too many parents are too scared to let their kids play outside out of fear they'll get hurt. But there are two positive aspects to getting hurt that most people don't think about:
1. When you get physically hurt, you learn firsthand how fragile your body is, and that you're not indestructible, which are good lessons to learn before you become old enough to drive a car.
2. When something causes you physical pain, you learn to treat it with respect.
