see, MOST people use their FAVORITES. which includes NOT RELEASING STARTERS and not always using the strongest Pokemon they can. Pokemon is about FUN. shocker I know

its like super easy to fit a legendary in your team full of your favorites or whatever

you release your f**king starter and ash has released more pokemon than there are msmg users who actually like it here

i release starters because they suck
i've tried to get myself to use some starters but all runs i did with them either ended up being ass or i just found a pokemon that does the same thing as them but better
and once you narrow it down the only starters actually worth using are blaziken, greninja, primarina, incineroar, all the galar starters, all the hisui starters excluding decidueye and skeledirge
the rest of them end up being burdens to my team and completely unhelpful

Because legendary Pokémon are generally very powerful, and sometimes it provides less of a challenge to have them

there are ton of non legendaries that are more powerful then actual ones and people tend to use them a lot more
