On some level the dims have to feel the hate, distrust and destain the general public feels for them. They all seem to age badly, bitter, mean and washed up.

As long as they get to interfere in the lives of others they use that to comfort themselves as they age badly and become bitter, mean and washed up. Rationalization over reality IS their way.

Can you imagine they go from congress to the head of some HOA just so they can appear relevant and powerful once again.

Ha! Yes, many of them will. The thing about politics is that it gives otherwise small people an unearned taste for power and dominance. It goes to their heads.

It really does, when people lose whatever power, they thought they had, they seek it elsewhere.

When I was stationed in Florida my neighborhood decided it needed an HOA. I was grandfathered in because I already owned my home, so the stupid rules didn't impact me. Despite that a retired FBI agent decided he still had power and would knock on my door to let me know what rules I had broken, it ended badly for him. I reminded him, he was trespassing and we were in a castle doctrine state, if he wanted to contact me, do it through a lawyer. Never spoke to him again but I enjoyed the stink eyes he would give me at HOA meetings.

Thanks, I still see the types around, they will throw the I used to be a (doesn't matter) stories out every chance they get. I expect some pride in someone's past but not if they use it to expect favors.

I care more about now, today, what are you doing with all you learned, those are my kind of people. People will scream feed the poor but never volunteer at a food pantry, give to it or even raise money for thanksgiving dinners. I give to others all the time, but I try and do it in a way, that they might suspect but never know for sure I had anything to do with it.

There are so many ways to help people that you have to work hard not to do it. The left masters the art of pretending to care but it is all talk.
