In English, there are only different pronouns in the 3rd person singular, and your chance to misgender a stranger is below 1%. However, in German the 2nd person singular also has different pronouns: „du“ and „Sie“. „Sie“ is the formal pronoun, and you use it for authorities such as teachers. „Du“ is the informal pronoun, and you use it for friends and family. However, if you talk to a stranger, it‘s nearly impossible to predict whether they want to be called „du“ or „Sie“. Some people view it as impolite when you call them „du“ and some people get offended if you call them „Sie“ because it makes them look old.

In Spanish we are way simpler, it's either él (he) or ella (she) when referring to a singular person

Spanish has the same problem as German. "You" either means tu or usted.
