You're welcome. I just posted it because the album cover reminded me of the meme. Grace Jones was New Wave and really had her own sound. I liked what few songs I heard of hers but not enough to go buy an album. So I really only know of her from the radio. I grew up in the Los Angeles area and in the 80's the best radio station for New Wave was KROQ. Then in about 1989 they got bought by some national radio corporation and then began to absolutely suck.
Just gave two of her songs a try, and she's really good. I like how she combines pop, jazz, and cinematic music. Kinda reminds me of a band my brother used to love called Snarky Puppy.
I like the song Slave to the Rhythm. My wife saw her in concert back in the 80's before she and I got married. She was also in A View to A Kill, one of the James Bond movies in the 80's. I think she was also in the second Conan the Barbarian movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger.
