but ultimately I prefer lyrical music, because the best lyrics an go far beyond whatever any instrumental music can in terms of meaningfulness and quality

at best lyrical music is kinda instrumental, because the best ones flow lyrics with music seamlessly and beautifully

the longest liked song is the ffvii remake version of one winged angel which is 10 minutes long

I really like how you can tell the story of the remake trilogy's sephiroth without it even being finished yet

the first half or so is just broken up, jumbled bits of the orginal one winged angel, before finally playing in a kinda order starting around the second half

I believe this represents how this version of Sephiroth is trying to diverge from the original story of FFVII where he fails, and how the whispers that guide the plot back to its original form hold him back. That's why it starts different at first, but eventually goes back to how it usually goes

I mean this is technically just a theory but its so widely accepted its pretty much canon
