for example, what were originally homophobic parts of the world are starting to accept or even just tolerate them now, even in places like china they now mostly don't give a shit if you are gay, they let you be who you are, they just don't like you flaunting it around which is fair because i feel like some lgbtq have gone a tad overboard with what they do. but even this was considered unthinkable just a few decades ago. another thing, you can criticize trump for transphobia (i personally dont really care about him either way) but he is still the first republican president in office to be fine with lesbians gays and bisexuals, which would be crazy to think of happening just 20 years ago, & it shows that progress is slow but is real
if you are trans i would not worry about the future that badly, whatever temporary thing the current u.s. administration does against trans people will easily be reversed by the next administration after that, and eventually it'll come a time where even when their party is back in power and they choose not to go after you. you just unfortunately live in a time where your entire identity is made a political issue
