Depends what you call surgery. All up, probably about 20 surgeries including day surgeries. But I only rally count the mechanical heart pump and transplant. Even having my chest cracked open for the bleeding doesn’t really mean anything to me, it was just a minor setback.
I know people who’ve had heart transplants and the mechanical pump who still smoke weed. I’ve considered the edibles path to deal with my own PTSD, anxiety and depression (all diagnosed) but smoking anything interferes too much with the respiratory system, which in turn causes cardiovascular issues. So I don’t think it’s worth smoking anything in my position.
Around here at least, a lot of the weed dealers are lacing weed with other, more addictive shit. Like meth and ice. Plus the chemicals in hydro can’t be trusted, imo. We also have crop sitters stealing caravans and parking them out in the bush. If I were to try weed now, I’d only do edibles. I live close to a “Cannabis University” and about 90 minutes from the well known Antipodean dope capital. But that place has now been taken over by meth and ice. It may have been still okay if the parents and grandparents had continued to grow their own naturally and supply the kids, but for at least 20 years the kids have been supplied by dealers lacing their shit, and then they get hooked on the hard stuff.
The Age of Aquarius is long gone, and is now only a distant memory seen through a haze of nostalgic smoke.
