So...the SNAP program only has a 'fraud' rate of 1.6%? And of that 1.6%, only 100ish were found to have committed actual crimes? Which means the 700,000 were likely removed due to recent legislation or their status was updated due to employment, etc.
It's 99.9997619048% effective.
And you're mad? 'Cause it seems like you're mad.
The Trump administration just told you that SNAP is 99.9997619048% effective with fraud so minimal that it's surprising that it can be measured at all. Yet the program is so detailed that it can measure fraud that small.
You should be celebrating the program. You should be holding it up as the gold standard for all governmental programs to be measured against. But it seems like you're not.
Are you this upset about how the DoD has failed its audits every year since 2018? Because they have. A 2023 report indicated the Pentagon could only account for 37% of its nearly $4 trillion in assets.
Maybe being mad about a government department not being able to account for $1.48 trillion is something to be mad about and people should be arrested over?
