James Earl Ray (King's killer) was not a Democrat. He supported George Wallace as a member of the American Independent Party, which had ideologies such as American nationalism, Paleoconservatism, & Right-wing populism. Charlie Kirk's killer, was from a Republican family, but non-affiliated, so also not a Democrat. MLK fought for Civil Rights, Charlie Kirk said King was not a good person and the Civil Rights act was a mistake. You tried though.
