Finale: See Me As I Am
David was armed with knowledge, the knowledge of what he was truly capable of. So he would take that fire scorching deep in his heart and burn the whole world down. David turned to X.
"You've been fun to toy with, David. Your rebellion was refreshing, but I'll crush your spirit like I did with all the rest."
"You don't get it, do you? You gave me everything I needed to tear you down. So come and face me, Goliath. Watch as I thrust your own blade into your heart."
David focused, muttered a prayer for strength, and looked X in the eyes. The vessel let out a thunderous roar as it adapted to this new, unfathomable power. The vessel automatically spoke.
"All lifeform data successfully copied."
X was confused, but he suddenly felt a chill, a presence on the same level as his own. He was no longer the sole one in control, and if he wanted dominion, he would have to fight for it.
David charged forward and struck X just as he had before, but the result was far different. X was launched back at at extreme speed, flying through the many walls like paper. David lunged after him, through the walls and out above the valley once again, beginning one great battle between a false god and a mechanical angel.
The battle went on for hours, but in the end, the rage of X could not match David's, not after everything he had been through. X was beaten, and while he still attempted to fight, his vessel and spirit were too weak to battle anymore. X was forced off the throne, and David took his place. X was shackled, his position of power revoked, and he was no longer the one in control.
David had won. He took the world, reshaping it and his own vessel into a body to better suit his rule. David however, unlike X, was human. He summoned the souls X once kept for his own amusement, including Elizabeth's spirit, and set them all free. It pained David to let go of Elizabeth, someone he cared so deeply for, but now, with all the power he wielded, he could not cling to her and drag her down with him.
Years pass. David was long since gone, he had mysteriously disappeared from his bed one day. Elizabeth could never get over the sudden loss David. She never found love again, holding onto the memory of him so very tightly.
One day, Elizabeth sat on her bed, looking where David once slept in remembrance. Suddenly, the TV cut on. The channel turned by itself. The Sega CD turned on, and the game inside it began on its own. A message appeared.
"Hey, Lizzy."
