The Japanese version of Sonic X is better because it has parts that had to be taken out of the American version, and they had to change some of the dialogue in the American version as well. Sonic even said "shit" in the first episode of the Japanese version.
I'm just assuming you have only seen the American version because it's more popular and not too many streaming services have it in Japanese.
