well first you'd wanna get a virus scanner and before you unzip the file, run it through one of those and it'll detect any malicious stuff.

but usually safe users dont typically upload things with viruses, i've used it multiple times and didnt get infected, so you should be fine if you get it from a pink/green skull

you can try a safer alternative of the internet archive as well, they got a ton of stuff there
