My season used to start between Halloween and Veterans Day, lately it been more like between Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Santa Sunday is less than 6 weeks away, kind of unofficial kickoff.

Went with Look Turntable bindings for everyone including me, a deviation from the usual Salomon. Bought a Bullseye Ski jig off eBay and will do it all myself.

Back when I skied more, it seemed like the secret was going the week BEFORE Christmas, and it was pretty empty. The week after was swamped with huge liftlines.

I got spooked by $100 mount cost per pair, for the bring your own skis and bindings to the shop. I think I'm near that for the jig, specialty SVST and Wintersteiger drill bits, other zippety do-dads.
