That's an interesting point. The latter claim, the lack of evidence, is false, there is plenty of evidence that God exists. The former, you've got a point. It's difficult to live a Christian life, from outside haters and inside goals.
Think about this. The world is so perfectly set up, there's no way it could have existed naturally. If you found a working watch in the middle of nature, in a forest, you'd have to assume that there was a watchmaker. The universe's statistics are absolutely perfect and in perfect conditions–if gravity was just the slightest of tads less powerful, the universe would expand too fast and we'd all be dead. The slightest of a tad more powerful, the universe would start shrinking and meet up again in the middle and we'd all be dead. On top of that, conditions are perfect for our earth. With just the right star to give visible light, just the right closeness to not burn up or freeze, and in just the right position of the galaxy, where there is little debris that could run into us and kill us all.
There are other arguments about the existence of God, this one is called the Teleological argument. Most public schools nowadays won't teach you these arguments, just evolution, evolution, and more evolution like it's a fact–and the evolution theory isn't even proven!
