When I was younger I lived in the People’s Republic of Illinois where a Republican had to be a communist to get elected as a dog catcher. We had a “Republican” governor who tried to ban guns every chance he got, and effectively made it a crime to bear arms by his “Safe Neighborhoods Act.” He was also a crook and gave drivers licenses to illegals in exchange for a bribe before running for governor and got people killed. He ended up spending six or seven years either in prison or home confinement. He got off easy. Hopefully the same won’t happen to Newsom
