A non pro-slavery state is going to make people who never owned slaves give their money to people who were never slaves.

Here is what I am almost positive Newsom is going to do. He knows California is in no place financially to pay reparations. He is going to beg for money from the Federal Government for reparations. When Trump says, "No", Newsom will play the race card and claim Trump is a racist.

If he does this he is going to shoot his foot off. Anyone with a brain will see the entire move was political theater. He will then go back to California and say, "sorry, that racist Trump wouldn't give us the money, you're all out of luck".

And most Democrats, being as gullible as they are and as hateful of Trump as they are, will believe Newsom is telling the truth.

However, every day people are defecting from the Democrat party and many of them are black. I just cannot believe the number of videos I see online from black people who support Trump. I saw a video today of Don Lemon doing street interviews in New York City. He interviewed a black man who fully supports deportation. Lemon was floored. He never expected to run into a black man in NYC who would support Trump. The man told Lemon that we need to get every illegal out of the country. So Lemon tried a different approach. He said Trump was hurting those who were being departed. The man said he didn't support that but they all need to go back to their own country.

I don't think they are being harmed any more than they were under Obama, in fact it was probably less. All of the cages and poor living conditions that the media blamed on Trump, started under Obama but they won't tell you that. Because cages and poor living conditions are only bad when a Republican is president. When a Democrat is president illegals and their condition just doesn't matter.

I descent from a Scot who fought against England. England tried him for treason and sent him to America as a slave. Seeing how I lived most of my life in California perhaps I should go back and make sure Newsom pays up. My brother, his two sons and their kids still live in California and I'm sure they could use some of that reparation money. My other brother's children mostly still live in California. So maybe I should move back and see if Newsom is actually going to do this or if he is just blowing smoke and creating another boondoggle of a waste of taxpayer dollar bureau.

I wonder of DEI will demand that he distribute those reparations equally to all non-white people. Just asking.

Yeah... They have the Olympics coming up, too. Perfect place for building new venues now. Not to mention making it a lot easier for his high-speed train project.

How does anyone still support him? I imagine that if so many conservatives hadn't fled the state there might be another recall election.

But then, he rigged the first one so I guess there's no point.

I grew up and lived most of my life in So. Cal., back when it was still a somewhat descent state to live in. Even though I never really liked So. Cal. (it's ugly and far too crowded, even when I lived there) I have family there, my wife has family there and we both have a lot of friends there. So I try to keep up on what's going on but I miss a lot not living there.

My brother wants out of California real bad but his wife loves it there and he doesn't want to leave his children and grandchildren.
